If the morning only works when you are standing there, you are not imagining it.

The Self-Management Academy is an online program families use from home. The student works through a 9-month sequence in the application. The parent gets a dashboard. A Carefree coach can teach the week live on video, or the family can run it themselves.

You are already the teacher, the reminder, and the backup brain. A coach on Sarah’s team runs the lesson every week so you can stop.

If this is your house

You are already the teacher, the reminder, and the backup brain.

  • Reminders to get started — then reminders to keep going.
  • Assignments and backpacks that never quite stay organized.
  • Multi-step tasks that fall apart after step one.
  • They finish more when you are in the room.
  • Transitions and time that slip unless you hold them.
  • Every conversation turns into a battle over getting it done.

What if your teen could begin taking ownership — and you could get to be the parent again?

What you are buying

Self-Management Academy

A structured, nine-month program that helps teens develop practical self-management, executive-functioning, and independence skills through coaching, guided practice, and real-life application.

  • Online, used from home — anywhere.
  • Built for teens who need help with independence and self-management.
  • Nine months, in a set order.
  • Weekly live coach ($239) or Family-run ($99).
  • Practical skills — not worksheets you print and ignore.
  • Learning tied to real-life practice you can see.

Not a traditional school. Not a substitute for therapy or ABA.

Real-life practice

Real-life practiceA few real reps today — not a worksheet packet.

Nine months

One skill area at a time. In order.

Instruction, practice, then real-life application. We do not promise every teen will be fully independent. We built a sequence that requires a real finish.

  1. 01

    Know Yourself

Strengths, patterns, and what actually gets in the way.

  2. 02

    Goal Setting

A direction your student chose — not one handed over.

  3. 03

    Executive Function Foundations

The tools that make follow-through possible.

  4. 04

    Time Management & Organization

Plans that survive a real week.

  5. 05

    Habits & Accountability

Small daily reps that add up.

  6. 06

    Emotional Regulation

Name it, size it, and move again.

  7. 07

    Self-Advocacy & Communication

Ask for what you need, clearly.

  8. 08

    Independence & Community Life

Skills that travel outside the app.

  9. 09

    Future Planning & Graduation

A roadmap your student can keep using.

How a week works

Teach. Practice. Apply in real life. Build independence.

1 · Teach

A real person teaches the skill first — the coach, or you on Family-run. Not a video dump.

2 · Practice

The application practices until it sticks. Guessing “done” does not count.

3 · Apply

Missions leave the screen — home, school, community — and come back as data.

4 · See it

You get a parent dashboard. You are never dropped into the student player.

On Weekly live coach, that teaching hour is 45 minutes live, every week. First lesson happens in week 1.

Weekly live coach

$239 / month

A coach runs the lesson. You see the dashboard. First live lesson this week.

  • 9-month sequence + parent dashboard
  • Carefree coach on Sarah’s team, 45 minutes live every week
  • About 27 live hours in a school year

One hour of private executive functioning coaching — help with starting, organizing, and finishing — often costs more than this whole month. Then you are back in the doorway.

Start with a weekly coach — $239/mo

Cancel before the next bill if the week still falls apart without you.

Same program without the live lesson: Family-run — $99/mo. You teach the week.

Questions

Before you start a month.

Who is the Academy designed for?

Teens and similar learners who can do the work and still freeze at the start — especially with ADHD or mild autism. Parents who are tired of being the reminder, the teacher, and the backup brain.

Is this a school?

No. It is an online educational coaching program used from home. Hybrid homeschool days in St. Johns are a separate, in-person program.

Is this therapy or ABA?

No. This is educational coaching and structured skill practice — not treatment, diagnosis, or therapy. ABA is available separately through Orange Branch Therapy at our St. Johns office.

How much parent involvement is required?

On Weekly live coach ($239), a Carefree coach teaches the 45-minute lesson. You see the dashboard. You are not running the lesson. On Family-run ($99), you teach the week and the application still holds the sequence.

What does the coach-supported option include?

The same 9-month sequence and parent dashboard, plus a Carefree coach on Sarah Pistner’s team, 45 minutes live every week. About 27 live hours across a school year.

What happens after enrollment?

You create a family account. Your student gets a login. Access turns on when payment confirms (card or Florida Step Up). On the coach plan, the first live lesson is booked in week 1.

How does the nine-month progression work?

Nine skill areas, in order. Teach, practice, then apply in real life. Guessing “done” does not count. We do not promise a new personality. We built a working week.

What if my teen struggles with a skill?

The next skill does not open until this one is done. Practice continues until it sticks. On the coach plan, the coach holds that week with you — you are not arguing about homework alone.

How do I know if this is a fit?

Start a month. If the week still falls apart without you, cancel before the next bill. No 9-month contract. Florida Step Up accepted.

Start with a coach this month. Keep it if the week finally holds without you.

First live lesson this week. Cancel before the next bill. Card or Florida Step Up.
